PROJECT ONE - Symmetry, Pattern and Color
Students are working on the creation of doors to other worlds after listening to the story of Scheherazade, who told suspenseful stories to save her life each night, (Her stories are known as the Arabian Nights - One Thousand and One Stories). Students were encouraged to think of other worlds where dreams are possible and hope is eternal...
Guest Artist Motesum Mansur came through our doors recently, and gave an inspiring speech, spreading the message of PEACE and urging students to end prejudice as he spoke with this year's sixth graders. Students were encouraged to imagine a world without prejudice, adding their images to a banner...

PROJECT ONE
A study in symmetry, pattern, color and suspenseful tales of what's behind the doors...
PROJECT TWO
Students were challenged to create a composition that exhibited their skills in perspective and mixed media. Sixth grade students had the opportunity to show the "place" where their doors from Project One, opened up to, while incorporating their choice of four different media. Students also wrote compelling stories that provide additional information for the viewers - Enjoy!
